Soccer Game

This was Mckay’s first scrimmage against another competitive team.  He and the team did great.  They should be able to hold their own when league play comes around in January.  Mckay scored one goal and it ended in a 2:2 tie.

Northern Lights

Some good friends called tonight at 10:30pm to tell us the northern lights were out.  We sure were grateful they called because what a show we had.  They were much brighter when we first came out with even some red colors.  After I figured out the settings on the camera these are the pictures I was able to get.  They were taken from an empty lot across the street from our block.  I was sitting down holding my breath trying to hold still since I didn’t have a tripod.  Some of the mild blur is from my shivering since it was 10 degrees and I was in my pajamas.

Swim Meet

Natasha and Lindsey had a swim meet this Saturday.  It was Lindsey’s first meet.  They both did great!  Best times for both on all events.  Natasha beat one of her 100 Individual Medley time by 45 seconds.

Flag Football

Mckay and Kameron played flag football this fall. They had a good time playing on the same team even if they only won 2 games. Kam played quarterback and Mckay was a running back. These are pictures from their last game.

Cross Country Races

Our family was involved in a couple of races this past week. I was able to catch both with our new camera. Kam, Mckay and I ran in the weekly Tuesday night fun run. We all ran 3.7 miles on some muddy trails. Then on Friday Mckay ran in the North Anchorage Cross Country Jamboree. He ran against about 200 3rd and 4th graders. He came in 2nd for the 1 mile race. They did all a great job.

Mckay's First Dome Practice

This was Mckay's first competitive soccer practice. He practices in a huge inflated dome. It is big enough for 3 youth soccer fields or one full size field. There is even room for an Olympic size track. Mckay is loving it!
